9/13/2006: B&B, Ilkley, Yorkshire, England. Arrived at the Manchester on 9/12 where Mike & Kathy picked me up. They drove us all to Ilkley to our B&B where we took a short nap and later took a walk to find the start of The Dales Way path.

My room

This is the next morning as we are passing through town on the way to the start of the path.

A variety of stunning flowers are planted everywhere. My favorite are the double begonias which I haven't seen here in the states. Probably too hot in the south.

We actually got on the path about 10:30 am because of some stops to places in town that either Kathy or Mike needed to go. Mike was planning to walk with us the first day. This is Kathy & I at the start of the path.

Wharfe River. Until the path crosses the "continential divide" we will follow the Wharfe River.

"Kissing" gate. The first of several gates were like this
